Food & Design at FOODCOOLTOUR

At FOODCOOLTOUR, our Creative and Art Director Izvorka Jurić, will discuss food packaging design and its impact on perception and sustainability

As consumers, we often reach for a product simply because its packaging catches our eye. But packaging is far more than a visual hook – it shapes our perception of a product’s taste, quality, health impact, and environmental footprint.

As part of the FOODCOOLTOUR festival taking place on May 7–8, 2025 in Osijek, our Creative and Art Director Izvorka Jurić will join the panel “Food and Design”, scheduled for May 8 from at the Franjo Krežma Concert Hall.

This panel discussion brings together experts in design, public health, and sustainability to explore:
  • The influence of packaging design on consumer decisions,
  • Current legislative challenges around the use of certain materials and colors,
  • The future of food packaging in light of sustainability goals and carbon footprint reduction.
“Food and Design” panel participants:
  • Vanja Cuculić (Studio Cuculić)
  • Izvorka Jurić (Dig Studio)
  • Dr. Nino Dimitrov (Croatian Institute of Public Health – HZJZ)

FOODCOOLTOUR is a two-day festival that combines food, design, science, and culture through panels, workshops, documentary screenings, and concerts. The event opens up space for creative dialogue about the future of food — one that is innovative, sustainable, and responsibly designed.
