Pentawards Bronze Award for “Hum – Višnjan” set

We won the Pentawards Bronze Award for the packaging design of the limited edition set “Hum – Višnjan Observatory” of the Croatian Mint

Dig studio won the Pentawards Bronze Award for the packaging design of the limited edition set “Hum – Višnjan Observatory” by the Croatian Mint. The award ceremony took place this Friday at the prestigious “Pentawards Gala” event in Magazine London, one of the largest London hybrid state-of-the-art venues with impressive views of the city skyline.

The design of this packaging competed in the “Home, Leisure & Other Markets” category, and Dig studio is also present in this year’s Pentawards competition with another packaging design – Tref premium lager beer. They emerged as finalists in the highly competitive “Beverages” category.

Founded in 2007, Pentawards is committed to recognizing excellence in design, providing a source of inspiration, and connecting the global packaging community through our annual competition, international conferences, digital events, and more.

The “Hum – Visnjan Observatory” is a limited edition set by the Croatian National Bank, minted by the Croatian Mint as the smallest coin in the world – a gold coin with a diameter of only 1.99 millimeters featuring the motif of Hum, known as the smallest town in the world. The story of this product is inspired by the universal human trait of exploration.

This limited edition was sold out within 27 hours of the product launch. The project has reached the finals of the prestigious international competition for mints – MDC Awards, in the category “Best Packaging of a collectible coin,” held as part of the Mint Directors Conference organized by the Royal Canadian Mint. It is also a finalist in the ZGDW Award competition at this year’s Design Week Zagreb and in the IdejaX Best of Ad-Making finalists in the Design category at the Days of Communication in Rovinj.
