Brachia olive oil
Brachia is a Croatian olive oil premium brand from the island of Brač. The task was to design labels for the standard and premium packaging which would define the oil’s quality and authenticity, and also to design the packaging for the exclusive edition which would define the oil as a premium, high-quality, original, and valuable product.
Standard and premium lines of Brachia olive oil come in the existing glass packaging. Due to the segmenting of target groups and different and specific market placement, two different kinds of labels were designed for these two lines.
The exclusive handmade packaging of Brachia olive oil is a practical gift or souvenir. Shaped as an olive fruit, the ceramic packaging has a layer of white coating. The neck is shaped like a small olive branch on which a pendant designed as an oil leaf is affixed. The ceramic bottle comes in a cardboard box wrapped in wood-structured paper, along with a small metal funnel/cap designed for use after the original wooden cap has been removed. The product stands out in the market because of its re-usability as a decorative and functional object. As for the packaging, it stands apart due to its design that clearly communicates its purpose – an olive fruit for olive oil, and the advantages of the product – white ceramics in an almost pharmaceutical form for a healthy aliment.
Besides the classic types, flavored olive oils (lemon and chili) are also offered in the exclusive packaging. The distinction between the flavors was achieved with color coding. These small “olives” come in single cardboard packaging or in shared packaging containing all three sorts of Brachia olive oil.
