Given the multitude of events that unfolded in the past year, it took us until mid-January to compile this year in review post.
Here’s to a happy, successful, and creatively inspiring 2024. But, before digging into the prospects of the future, let’s take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary moments, projects, and achievements of the past year.
Our primary focus remained on our core tasks of developing brands and designing products and packaging.
Projects include the Sampe gin brand and packaging featuring an original bottle design, packaging design for the Croatian Mint’s “Hum-Višnjan” limited edition coin set with the smallest coin in the world, a BITE ART packaging edition for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb (MSU), and a BITE ART special limited YMCA edition for the New York Gala event at the Met Museum, featuring the original Met artwork collection.
The 2023 project list also includes the branding and packaging for Kadinela olive oil, packaging design for the French food supplement manufacturer Greenwhey, and design of various gift packaging and gift materials for the Croatian National Bank on the occasion of introducing the new currency – the euro, other various packaging designs for the Croatian Mint, and packaging design for various pet food brands associated with Pet Network International.
We’ve also collaborated with the Healthy Seas organization, an initiative that aims to remove abandoned fishing nets from the seas for recycling purposes, by designing the exhibition for their anniversary event held in Istria.
Furthermore, our team extended our partnership on pro bono projects, actively contributing to the Association for Creative and Social Work initiatives for several years.
These projects establish a deeper connection between our team and our clients, collaborators, and suppliers. A heartfelt thank you for their valuable input in making it a success.
Our work has been showcased in prestigious publications such as the Tachen Packaging Book, Favourite Design Beer Book, Font In Use, The Brand New, Packaging of the World, Forme De Luxe, and Creative Verpacken. Additionally, as many as five of our projects have been selected as featured projects on Behance.
At the annual IdejaX rankings of Croatian creative studios and agencies, we are ranked in 5th place. As a small independent design studio, this makes us very happy and proud.
We’ve rebranded into Dig studio and started a new chapter.
Our 2023 rebranding marks a strategic move for our international recognition. Izvorka Jurić and Jurica Kos join forces in partnership, and our team expands with the valuable addition of Nino Dolenc.
Many Croatian media platforms have picked up our story, and we are highlighting interviews with D-blog “A good designer must have a good sense of humor” and the Croatian Designers Society “Shared vision and humor as the foundations of Dig Studio”, along with featured TV appearances on the HRT show “Izvan formata”.
We are excited about the New Year as we collaborate with both our existing and new clients from Croatia, the Netherlands, France, UK, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina…
We eagerly anticipate presenting new projects to the public and witnessing the market’s response. Additionally, the start of the year has brought us some fascinating new ventures, including the design of a sustainable fashion brand, branding for organic cosmetics, the development of a new line of olive oils, the creation of an identity for a bespoke yachting agency, rebranding of dog and cat food brands and more.
This year, we plan to launch our first Dig studio merchandise, and one of the most significant events will undoubtedly be a comprehensive retrospective exhibition of our work, planned for the spring at the gallery of the Croatian Design Society. Stay tuned for updates!
