Dig studio’s ‘Design from the Shelves’ mini retrospective exhibition

Digging into ‘Design from the Shelves’ exhibition held at the Croatian Design Society Gallery

From Marko Golub’s text:

Behind the seemingly unpretentious title “Design from the Shelves” lies a certain thoughtfulness and determination that characterizes the works of the studio itself, refined through over twenty years of work, especially in the sensitive area that this exhibition presentation focuses on: packaging design and the closely related branding and rebranding of products. The term “design from the shelves” directly and clearly speaks to the ‘place’ of the designed objects; it is the design we encounter in stores, or it has a place in our homes, often in the company of other, usually also designed, objects. From such a place, they invite us to interact; they must be recognizable, immediately clear in their identity, content, and purpose; they must provide relevant information, be environmentally safe and suitable for transport; they must stand out from others, and they must – through their name, shape, contours, color, and tactility – tell us a story worth our attention.

We dig you!
