The basis of the project is a packaging design system applicable to various commemorative medals, products, and product lines of the Croatian Mint, adding value to the products and making them attractive to a wider audience beyond traditional collectors.

The solution is a presentation gift box, as products of this kind are often given on special occasions and proudly displayed.

The first Croatian numismatic euro coin, Contour Necktie, consists of two precious-metal coins – one silver and one gold. The coin’s designer, Nikola Vudrag, depicted Croatian soldiers who fought under the French flag during the Thirty Years’ War in the 17th century. They wore scarves around their necks – cravats – which are considered the predecessors of the modern necktie.

The packaging pays homage to this iconic cultural and fashion symbol. The rigid box is dressed in a dark blue suit and a red tie composed of the letters of the Croatian word kravata – necktie. The paper has a fabric-like texture, while the tie is rendered in patterned red holographic foil.
