Croatian Rulers is a series of limited numismatic editions developed for the Croatian Mint and the Croatian National Bank, conceived as an annual collector’s release. The inaugural edition, dedicated to King Tomislav, establishes the series concept.
Each medal connects a Croatian ruler with a tree characteristic of the region, uniting historical symbolism with natural heritage. The motifs appear on both the obverse and reverse, while the packaging extends this narrative through olive wood and a distinct colour for each ruler. The identity of the line is defined by a stylised crown integrated into the Croatian checkerboard pattern.
The box itself is shaped as a single-crown peak, a modular element in a growing collection, encouraging a “collect them all” approach. Beyond protection, it serves as a display case, ideal for presenting in collector spaces and at fairs.
